The Lieutenant Governor of the U.S. Virgin Islands is an elected constitutional officer, the second-ranking officer of the executive branch, and the first officer in line to succeed the Governor of the U.S. Virgin Islands. This office is elected every four years by popular vote on a joint ticket with the governor.[1][2]
