Lillie Kelly was a candidate for the District 5 seat on the Liberty County Board of Education in Georgia. She lost election against fellow newcomer Marcus Scott IV in the general election on May 20, 2014. Kelly was running to replace Harold Woods, who did not file for re-election by the March 7, 2014 deadline.

Kelly earned a B.S. from Lincoln University and a master's degree from Cambridge College. She coached track, softball, basketball and volleyball at Bradwell Institute from 1994 to 2012.[1]
