I am a wife and the mom of an autistic teen and a college student. I am also a proven disability and education advocate, a coalition builder, a community organizer, and essentially, a change-maker.

I believe that a proven change-maker can truly create real solutions. Since I led the people-powered movement which resulted in the landmark model for community activism, I have a track record for getting things done. When there were cuts at the center-based (or special education) schools, I created a non-profit and led a movement which resulted in a major systematic change, including a forced independent audit and the transfer of management to Kent ISD. Consequently, thousands of students with disabilities, teachers, and staff have benefited from the changes.

I am running to ensure a high quality of life for all people, by listening to all concerns and working with my constituents to create real solutions and positive change.

I will also bring a more balanced and diverse voice from West Michigan. If elected, I will be the first woman of color and the first Asian from West Michigan to the State House. Since my family and I have experienced prejudice, I never want anyone to face any kind of discrimination or injustice. As a proven advocate who is also an immigrant woman of color, I will fight fiercely for justice, equality, and equity for all people.
  • I am running to ensure a high quality of life for all people, by listening to all concerns and working with my constituents to create real solutions and positive change. As an immigrant woman of color, I will also advocate fiercely to ensure equity and justice for all people.
  • As a proven disability, education, and human rights advocate, a community organizer, a coalition builder, and essentially a change-maker, I will listen to all concerns. I will then work with my constituents to create real solutions. We have many broken systems, including in education or community mental health (which services people with mental health and disability challenges). If elected, I look forward to fixing broken systems together.
  • If elected, I will utilize the same abilities for building coalitions and networking for people-powered movements to advance progressive and democratic goals, including: ensuring reproductive freedom, civil and human rights for people of color and the LGBTQI+ community, common sense guns laws, and many other crucial democratic values.
Since my top priority is to ensure a high quality of life for all people, I am passionate about amplifying the voice for marginalized communities in order to ensure equity and justice for all. I believe that almost all people are marginalized and need a rising voice. For instance, working families and the working class need a stronger voice at the decision-making table. Women need a rising voice at the policy making table to ensure reproductive freedom and choice. Communities of color and all marginalized communities face discrimination, hatred, and injustice. Therefore, all marginalized communities need representation to ensure equity, equality, and justice.
