2017
At a candidate forum hosted by KCOS and the El Paso League of Women Voters, Limon was asked about the most important needs in District 7. She said:
“ | No matter what part of the city that you go to, the number one priority are our streets and our sidewalks. No matter what community meeting, no matter where I go, constituents will consistently say the condition of their streets and their sidewalks are lacking. When we look at our community, we see many streets in the valley—as you know, District 7 is split between the north side of I-10 and the south side, clearly delineated by I-10—and I'll have residents that'll say, well, everything goes to the south side, and south side residents will say everything goes to the north side. But, consistently, the issue of our streets is something that's very, very important and something that has been very lacking. We tend to put money in different areas, but as I will say always, that when people think about quality of life, quality of life begins the moment you open your door and you look at your sidewalks and you look at your streets. So, that will be the focus, one of the main things that we will continue to work on in District 7.[6] | ” |
