A Lincoln Township Fire Operations Tax Levy Increase proposal was defeated on the February 26, 2013 election ballot in Berrien County, which is in Michigan.
If approved, this measure would have authorized the Charter Township of Lincoln to impose an additional property tax levy of 0.325 mills ($0.325 per $1,000 of assessed valuation) for seven years in order to fund the operation of the fire department.[1]

| “ | Shall the Charter Township of Lincoln levy .325 mills, which is equal to $0.325 dollars for each $1,000 dollars of taxable value on the real and personal property subject to taxation, for a period of seven (7) years commencing in 2013 through 2019, inclusive, for the purpose of funding the operations of the Township's Fire Department? This levy will raise approximately $205,000 in the first calendar year.[1][2] | ” |
