Linda Randle Anderson was a federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi. She was first appointed to this position on July 12, 2006. She retired from the court on January 4, 2021.[1][2]

Biography

Education

Anderson earned an A.A. degree from Holmes Junior College. she earned bachelor's and master's degrees in music education from Jackson State University. She earned a law degree from the Mississippi College School of Law.[3][4]

Career

Anderson worked as an elementary music teacher from 1977 to 1985. She began her legal career in 1985 as a clerk for the Mississippi Supreme Court. From 1987 to 1999, she served as an assistant district attorney for the Seventh Judicial Court District of Hinds County. From 1999 to 2006, she served as an assistant U.S. attorney for the Southern District of Mississippi. In 2006, Anderson was appointed as a federal magistrate judge to the United States District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi[3][4]
