Linda F. Coleman is a judge of the Eleventh Judicial District in Mississippi. She was appointed by Gov. Phil Bryant (R) on March 10, 2016, to fill the vacancy created when Johnnie E. Walls, Jr. resigned from the bench.[1] Coleman ran unopposed for election to her seat in 2016. The general election occurred on November 8, 2016.[2]

Coleman was previously a Democratic member of the Mississippi House of Representatives, representing District 29. She was first elected to the chamber in 1991 and served until her appointment to the court in 2016.

Biography

Coleman was born on September 27, 1961. She earned her B.P.A. from the University of Mississippi and J.D. from the Mississippi College School of Law. Her professional experience includes working as an attorney.[3]
