I have lived the American Dream. I attended public schools and I was a Union factory line worker. I attended University as a returning adult and earned a Business degree at the age of forty two. I am tireless, thoughtful, and have a Can-Do attitude.
  • I stand for Equality and Human Rights. Safe and legal abortion care is a woman's human right! I cannot imagine my life without this legal right. I cannot imagine the United States of America without the right to choose who you love, when you want to reproduce.
  • I stand for freedom from gun violence to insure "domestic tranquility". We have not done enough to protect our children and our teachers. We have seen that more guns in schools don't make children or teachers more safe. We must act responsibly.
  • I stand for Environmental Protection. Our ability to elect knowledgeable professionals to our Water Authority has been stripped away.
Equality and Human Rights. Recent bills passed in FL focus hatred/or denial on the LGBTQ community including children, and it is a disgrace.

Woman's Reproductive rights are being diminished. Abortion is still legal in Florida, but for how long? I cannot imagine my young life without the safe and legal RIGHT to abortion!

Freedom from Gun Violence. As witnessed recently, more guns, even with professionals marksmen, in schools, don't make school children and teachers safer. It's time for Common Sense!

Environmental Protections. Our ability to elect a Water Authority board has been dissolved. Anytime government leaders restrict the people's right to elect an oversight authority, it should be a warning sign of what is to come!

Public Education. Florida is number two in the country for charter school closings. This is an unnecessary cost to tax dollars. All education providers, public and charters, should be required to report to their county's school board and all teachers should be paid and have benefits provided by the negotiations of the teachers union.

Affordable Housing. The Sadowski Fund became Florida law back in 1992 as a dedicated annual revenue source to keep affordable housing projects thriving across the state. The fact that this fund had been raided for two decades helped put us in our current housing crisis. Last year, lawmakers finally passed a bill to stop the raids. But much more must be done to help citizens with affordable housing.
First, my mother. She was a great woman and beautiful soul. She worked very hard outside the home and took care of the family too. I love and miss her very much and believe that she would be very proud of my decision to run for office. In my personal life she is the person that I try to emulate. She loved wonderfully.
Professionally I attempt to emulate my husband of thirty years. He was a wonderful person that knew how to lead. He knew how to make his employees feel good about the work they did and the accomplishments that they achieved and to let them know that they were the backbone of the company. He understood that the "company" was nothing without well respected and
JFK was assassinated. I was five. The Vietnam war, MLK assassination, Robert Kennedy assassination, Malcolm X assassination, And all of it was being televised. It was a very tumultuous time in our history.
First job was at Burger King. The montra there was "If you have time to lean, you have time to clean". I still don't lean much.
Human Rights, Reproductive Rights, Freedom from Gun Violence, Environmental Protection, Public Education, Affordable Housing,
Bi-Partisanship or compromise is essential in all policymaking.
