Linda McGee
Linda McGee was a judge of the North Carolina Court of Appeals. She assumed office in 1995. She left office on December 31, 2020.
McGee was appointed to the court by former Governor Jim Hunt (D) in 1995. McGee was sworn in as chief judge of the court on August 1, 2014. She did not seek re-election in 2020.[1]
According to The News & Observer, McGee was affiliated with the Democratic Party.[2]
Education
McGee received her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1971 and her J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 1973.[3]
Career
McGee began her legal career in 1973 as the first executive director of the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers. She worked in this position until 1978. She then practiced law with the firm of Santi, Watson, & McGee for 17 years until she was appointed to the North Carolina Court of Appeals in 1995.[3]

2012
McGee was re-elected to the North Carolina Court of Appeals on November 6, 2012, defeating David S. Robinson with 61.2% of the vote.[1][4][5]
