providing the best education available to students
There are many people whom I admire. To pick one would be difficult. I would rather respond to this inquiry with: I want to lead a good life, with my values of integrity, respect, honesty, commitment, family, spirituality, positive attitude, and genuineness defining my behavior and outlook on life.
The primary responsibility is to act in the best interests of every student in the district. It also has commitments to the parents, the community, the employees, the laws pertaining to public education and the established policies of the district.
Our constituents are the students, parents and guardians, members of the community, the employees, and the state of CA.
I support the programs that are already in place in the district to handle the diverse needs of their constituents
I belong to some of the community-service organizations that are willing to work the schools, i.e. Rotary, Elks, Sunnyvale Community Services.
I believe that if you seek the best qualified individuals, without looking at the color of someone's skin or the accent they have, the diverse recruitment efforts should be taken care of, because one the board's primary responsibilities is to act in the best interests of every student, and to me, it is providing an excellent academic environment where all students thrive to meet their potential and be provided the best opportunities possible.
I have had and will always have an open-door policy, making myself available to all constituents.
