Linda Schwager
Linda Schwager was a 2017 Democratic candidate for District 39 of the New Jersey State Senate.
Biography
Schwager earned her B.A. from Queens College, her M.S. from Brooklyn College, and her J.D. from City University of New York. Her professional experience includes working as a municipal prosecutor, Oakland public defender, and as a lawyer at her private practice. She served two-terms as the mayor of Oakland, New Jersey.[1]

Elections for the New Jersey State Senate took place in 2017. All 40 seats were up for election. The general election took place on November 7, 2017. A primary election took place on June 6, 2017. The filing deadline for the primary election was April 3, 2017.[2][3] Incumbent Gerald Cardinale (R) defeated Linda Schwager (D) and James Tosone (Libertarian) in the New Jersey State Senate District 39 general election.[4][5]
