I am devoted to bringing a different voice to state level government in Florida. We currently do not have a functional balance of power at this highest level. We have nearly 14,000.000 registered voters in Florida, fairly evenly split between Democratic, Republican, and other party/no political affiliation voters. Clearly, we need more diversification of ideas to help lead Florida in a direction that benefits ALL citizens.

I have lived in Florida since I was five, moving here with my family from Illinois. I grew up in Miami, but relocated to LaBelle (Hendry County) in 1980 with my husband and two children. I was involved in public education my entire work life, teaching both elementary and middle school students, working with struggling students as well as those in gifted programs. The second half of this career, I worked for Florida Diagnostic and Learning Resource System, serving the families of students with disabilities in Hendry, Highlands, Glades, and Desoto Counties. I then advocated for students with disabilities as a Staffing Specialist with Hendry County Schools. I currently reside near LaBelle, in Glades County.

  • I believe that everyone has a right to quality, affordable heathcare, a living wage, and tax-funded public education through college or vocational school.
  • I believe we have an obligation to provide clean air and water, and to support policies that balance the concerns of agriculture, new industry, tourism, and development with responsible environmental practices.
  • I believe we have a responsibility to ensure that EVERY Florida citizen has the ability to pursue life, liberty, and happiness in equitable way.
