I am an environmental scientist who has spent her career working to protect Florida’s water and economy. As Executive Director of the Florida Wildlife Corridor, I brought business and community stakeholders together with public agencies to protect water supply, natural habitats, and wildlife. During my 14 years with the Tampa Bay Estuary Program, I tackled tough issues related to flooding, beach erosion, algae blooms and air pollution in my local community. I am committed to finding solutions to ensure that we have clean water, healthy communities, and a strong economy.
  • Affordability in all areas is hitting Pinellas County families hard. From gas and groceries to insurance and rent, we need to get costs under control.
  • In Tampa Bay, our environment is our economy. 20% of our jobs are directly tied to our water quality. We can ensure clean water for everyone by holding corporate polluters accountable and preventing pollution at the source.
  • I am proud to be part of the pro-choice majority and will fight against radical restrictions that would stop a woman from having control of her own body.
As an environmental scientist, I’ve fought to clean up our water and protect the health of our community. In office, I’ll continue to fight for the health of all Floridians through protection of our drinking water, protection of our reproductive rights, and expansion of economic opportunities.
I distinctly remember the Challenger space shuttle tragedy. I was a 2nd grader at Edgewood Elementary School and each of the classes were watching on small grainy TVs. I remember my teacher crying and having to leave the room before she came back and tried to explain what had happened. School ended early that day.
I worked at the local pizza and sub shop when I was a senior in high school. I made subs and delivered pizzas. I held that job for a year.

Scorecards

See also: State legislative scorecards and State legislative scorecards in Florida

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.

Click here for an overview of legislative scorecards in all 50 states.  To contribute to the list of Florida scorecards, email suggestions to editor@ballotpedia.org.
