Lindsay James
Lindsay James (Democratic Party) is a member of the Iowa House of Representatives, representing District 71. She assumed office on January 1, 2023. Her current term ends on January 1, 2027.
James (Democratic Party) is running for election to the U.S. House to represent Iowa's 2nd Congressional District. She is on the ballot in the Democratic primary on June 2, 2026.[sources: 1, 2]
Biography
Lindsay James was born in Portland, Oregon.[1] James earned a bachelor's degree. in communications from Santa Clara University in 2003 and a master’s degree in divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary in 2007. Her career experience includes working as a pastor of a Presbyterian church, an adjunct faculty member with the University of Dubuque, and the director of the Loras College Peace Institute. James also co-founded the Loras College Peace Institute and has served on the board of the Children of Abraham Interfaith Council, as the chair of religious affairs for the NAACP Dubuque Chapter, and as the chair of the Dubuque Community Development Advisory Commission.[1][2]
