Campaign website

Askey's campaign website stated the following:

Priorities

A Thriving Economy

Chandler’s success depends on a strong economy. I’m committed to supporting both entrepreneurs and small businesses, as well as large industries, so our community can keep growing and adding good jobs. I want to make sure that Chandler remains a great place to both live and work. Chandler is at 94% buildout, which means it is critical that our Councilmembers make intelligent, thoughtful decisions regarding growth and prosperity for all our citizens - decisions that will keep the city vibrant once growth converts to the sustainability of the Chandler lifestyle.

Safe Communities

Chandler has an outstanding record in community safety, thanks to the dedication of our police and fire departments. The city has continued to support these excellent organizations so that our dedicated personnel can continue to thrive and keep our neighborhoods safe. I will continue to strongly support them, so they have the resources needed to protect and serve our citizens.

Transparency in Governance

Transparency in governance is vital. By keeping the community informed and involved, I will work hard to ensure that the people of Chandler have a voice in the decision-making processes that affect their lives.
