I am a native Utahn, and I graduated from the University of Utah. I raised four daughters on three continents, and in five states - which has given my diverse life experiences and a global perspective.

Civic involvement has always been important to me. I've spent the last five years in the nonprofit world. In this environment, accomplishments come by being able to work with a wide range of people and diverse backgrounds, preferences, and beliefs, I get invited into projects and leadership roles due to my ability to bring people together and a reputation for getting things done.

I believe we need more women at the table in our state legislature (currently at 25%). And we need women with divergent experiences and broad perspectives, not just political activist who cannot rise above partisanship.

  • Community of Interest for Economic Recovery
I am passionate about "Whole Community Resilience" and being an advocate for my community. Listen, Learn, Lead is a philosophy that I follow. It is in the Listening phase that we find common ground, which leads to effective public policy and builds bridges of trust and unity. We could all use more unity in today's divisive political climate.
