Lisa Becker (Wisconsin)
Lisa R. Becker was a Independent candidate for District 13 of the Wisconsin State Assembly. The primary election was on September 14, 2010, and the general election was on November 2, 2010.[1]
Becker earned an Associate's Degree from the Milwaukee Area Technical college and a Bachelor's from Michigan State University.[2]

Becker ran in the 2010 election for Wisconsin State Assembly District 13. Becker was defeated by Democratic incumbent David Cullen in the general election on November 2, 2010.[3][4]

Becker summarizes her positions by saying that she believes "We have too much government, ...We have too many laws...and We need to get back to the basics." The two areas that Becker feel are in need of reform are taxes and jobs.
- Taxes - Becker's position is that some of the bureaucracy needs to be eliminated, pensions of state officials should be discontinued, political candidates should not get campaign funds from the government and non-violent offenders should not be incarcerated.
- Jobs - Becker believes in promoting renewable energy industry, mentoring of the unemployed by small business developers, giving tax breaks to entrepreneurs, and moving education from public to private entrepreneurial adventures.
- Other issues - Becker, among other issues, believes in limits to two terms, no restrictions of gun ownership, and no electronic surveillance. techniques
