Lisa M. Brown was a judge for Department T of the Nevada 8th Judicial District Court Family Division. She assumed office in 2015. She left office on January 3, 2021.

Brown previously served on this court from 2000 to 2008.[1][2]

Brown ran for election to the Eighth Judicial District Court.
Primary: She was successful in the primary on June 10, 2014, receiving 37.9 percent of the vote. She competed against Maria Maskall and incumbent Gayle Nathan.
General: She defeated Maria Maskall in the general election on November 4, 2014, receiving 55.2 percent of the vote. [3][4] 

Education

Brown received her undergraduate degree from Saint Joseph's University in 1986 and her J.D. degree from the Villanova University School of Law in 1989.[5]

Career

Brown served as a judge for the Family Court Division of the Eighth Judicial District from 2000 to 2008. She also previously worked as an attorney in private practice and served as a deputy attorney general for Nevada’s Division of Child and Family Services and for the Division of Mental Health and Developmental Service.[5][6]
