Lisa Curtis
Lisa Curtis is a former Democratic member of the New Mexico State Senate, representing District 21 from her appointment in 2012 to 2013.
Her appointment was controversial because she replaced Republican senator Kent Cravens. Governor Susana Martinez did not agree with the decision by the county commissions to nominate a Democratic candidate to replace a Republican legislator.[1]

Curtis ran for re-election in 2012. She ran unopposed in the June 5, 2012, Democratic primary, and was defeated by Mark Moores (R) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[2][3]
