Lisa DeWitt was a 2014 candidate for the 265th District Court in Texas. She was previously a Republican candidate for the 292nd District in 2010.

DeWitt ran for election to the 265th District Court.
Primary: She ran unopposed in the Republican primary on March 4, 2014.
General: She was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 45.7 percent of the vote. She competed against Jennifer Bennett. [1][2][3]

DeWitt was defeated by Larry Mitchell in the general election.[4]

Education

DeWitt received her undergraduate degree from Abilene Christian University at Dallas, and her J.D. from Baylor Law School in 1984.[5]

Career

DeWitt began her legal career in private practice, and then became an attorney in Bosque County in 1986. In 1989, she became a public defender in Dallas County.[5]
