|I answered a calling to civic duty when I became a PTA President (served for three years) and helped save my son's school from closing by organizing fellow parents to advocate in Albany and led a successful two-year court battle against the DOE that ended in an injunction to keep the school open. Now, this same school is one of the best performing schools in Math and ELA.
Today, I am the Office Manager for State Senator James Sanders, Jr., 8 years and counting. And I am the president of The Heart of Rockaway (THOR) Civic Association.
- Education: Fair and sufficient funding for education and reintroduction of vocational training.
- Housing: We need to keep affordable housing affordable; and we need tax relief for our homeowners.
- Healthcare: We need better access to healthcare and need another hospital in the district.
