Green ran for election to the Dallas County Criminal Court.
Primary: She was successful in the Democratic primary on March 4, 2014, receiving 44.3 percent of the vote. She competed against Etta Mullin and Trey Bunch.
Runoff: Because no candidate received more than 50% of the vote, Green faced Mullin in a runoff election on May 27, 2014. She won, earning 59% of the vote.
General: She faced Leah Lucius in the general election on November 4, 2014.

Qualifications

- have practiced law or served as a judge for at least four years preceding the election.
