Lisa L. Sutton
Lisa L. Sutton was a judge for District 2 of the Washington Court of Appeals Division II. She assumed office on October 1, 2014. She left office on September 30, 2021.
Sutton ran for re-election for the District 2 judge of the Washington Court of Appeals Division II. She won in the general election on November 3, 2020.
Sutton retired on September 30, 2021.[1]
Biography
Education
Sutton received her undergraduate degree in psychology from Pacific Lutheran University and her J.D. from Seattle University School of Law in 1985.[2]
Career
Prior to becoming a judge, Sutton served in the Office of the Attorney General for 24 years. She was appointed by Governor Chris Gregoire (D) in November 2010 to succeed Richard D. Hicks as judge of the Thurston County Superior Court. She served there until her appointment to the appellate court in 2014.[3]
