Lisa Langford was born and lives in Louisville, Kentucky. She earned a J.D. from Louis D. Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville. Langford's career experience includes working as an assistant county attorney with the Jefferson County Attorney's Office.[1]

The judges of the Kentucky District Courts are elected in nonpartisan elections. They serve four-year terms and must run for re-election if they wish to serve again.[2][3]
Qualifications
To serve on this court, a judge must be:[2]
- a U.S. citizen;
- a resident of the represented district for at least two years; and
- licensed to practice law for at least two years.

I am experienced, educated, serious, even tempered, warm hearted, open to change, and care about people and my community.

Judges must know the law, be able to apply it fairly, have respect for the judicial process, and be balanced and even tempered.
What legacy would you like to leave?
Balanced and fair treatment of everyone under the law
Do you believe that empathy is an important quality for a judge?
Empathy is a very important quality for a judge to have and display. Our courts are not just filled with defendants. We also impact the lives of victims, parents, children, and our community members.
Why are you running for this particular court seat?
I am running for this particular seat because I believe it is time for a change. My opponent has been in this seat for twenty (20) years. I believe I have a more diverse view of our community and the needs of the citizens. I am prepared to open new discussions and implement new ideas to improve the bench and our judicial system as a whole.
