Lisa Mansfield is an at-large representative on the Akron Public Schools school board in Ohio. First elected in 2009, Mansfield won a new term in the at-large general election on November 7, 2017.
Biography
Mansfield earned a B.A. in Secondary Education from the University of Akron. She currently serves as the patron services manager for Weathervane Playhouse. Mansfield and her husband, Eric, have three children currently attending district schools. She has been active with community groups including CSB Mentoring Mothers and Pregnancy Care.[1]

Four of seven seats on the Akron Public Schools Board of Education in Ohio were up for at-large general election on November 7, 2017. Three incumbents filed for re-election. Incumbents Bruce D. Alexander, Lisa Mansfield, and Patrick Bravo and former board member Ginger Baylor defeated newcomers N.J. Akbar and Helena Larios for the four at-large seats.[2][3]

The Akron Beacon Journal endorsed Mansfield on October 11, 2013.[5]
2009
Mansfield won election to one of four available seats on the board in the November 3, 2009, general election. She placed first among eight candidates in the race, which went to an automatic recount due to the narrow margin between the fourth-place and fifth-place candidates.[6]
