Lisa P. Thornton

Lisa P. Thornton was the assignment judge for the Vicinage 9 Superior Court, which presides over Monmouth County in New Jersey.[1] Thornton was appointed to the court by former Governor Jon Corzine in 2008. Thornton became the assignment judge for courts in Monmouth County on September 1, 2014, upon the retirement of former Assignment Judge Lawrence M. Lawson.[2][3] She died on May 26, 2023.[4]
Education
Thornton received her undergraduate degree from Douglass College in 1986 and her J.D. from Rutgers Law School at Newark in 1992.[5]
