I come from a family which has always served - my mother has been a life-long nurse, and my father served until retirement from the Navy. Therefore, I have always wanted to make an impact to help the community where I live. Therefore, when asked to run for House District 93, I could not help but get involved. As an educator, I enjoy bringing people together to work through issues. Additionally, as a founder of Glacier Lake School, actively listening to all sides has allowed me to build bridges to get things done.

My profession as an educator is about inspiring the next generation to learn and to take control of their lives, to go on to make an impact in their own communities. I have taught in many school systems - including public, private, inner-city and rural schools - and what is true of all students is when a caring, safe environment is created, students feel valued and respected. Before teaching, I was the head soccer coach at a university. As an educator in the classroom as well as on the field, I realized the impact I could have upon one student, and in turn, the community.

  • Education - A atrong education system is the backbone in our community. Public schools need to be funded and supported to inspire the next generation of learners
  • Healthcare - Making quality healthcare affordable for all families is a priority. Continuing with Medicaid Expansion is critical for our State.
  • Climate change and the Environment. Addressing the climate crisis takes all of us to work together.
