Lisa G. Schmitz was born in Osceola, Arkansas. She attended Ouachita Baptist University and Harrison College. Her career experience includes working as the founder of Where Pigs Fly and such.[1]

Dedicated mentor, executive, and non-profit leader with over 25 years of experience in human resources. With a background in the corporate world, serving companies like the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Galyans, as well as serving as VP of Human Resources for an Indianapolis-based subsidiary of NAPA Auto Parts, Lisa has the knowledge and expertise to support strong policies and bring real change to the city of Indianapolis.

Lisa grew up in Arkansas but has lived on the west side of Indianapolis for nearly 30 years, devoting her time and efforts to underserved communities and organizations in her area.

  • Focusing on you! And neighborhood services for all communities within my district, including safety.
  • Focusing on creating policies, programs, and resources that address addiction/recovery and assistance for our homeless friends.
  • Focusing on community infrastructure, including necessary improvements to the communities within my district, ie. flood plane issues, sidewalks, street repair, etc.
Policy that directly impacts the communities within my district; impacting both residents and business owners.
