Campaign themes

2014

Seng Shadday's website highlighted the following campaign themes:

I believe we should follow the Constitution.

I believe in:

Limited government
Personal liberties and individual responsibilities
Pro-growth, reduce taxes and simplify tax code
Property rights
Protection of State's rights

I believe we have too many laws and regulations; sunsets should be put in place to reassess current necessity on a scheduled tie frame in order to remove outdated and unneeded laws and regulations.

I believe individual ingenuity, small businesses, and farmers are the solution to most issues in our economy. Government should move aside and let the free market work.

I believe we should control the government; the government should not control us.

I believe education should go beyond the classroom. Post-secondary education should include options for trade and technical training where jobs are readily available. There are wonderful, well-paying careers waiting for people who possess a skill or trade. In addition, many students are falling through the cracks of the current education model. We should offer career and vocation training to help every individual achieve their own American Dream.

The Second Amendment is non-negotiable. We cannot lose this important protection guaranteed in the Constitution.

I am pro-life. I believe every life should be protected.

Indiana's elected leaders must stand, and protect us from attempts by the federal government to take away our rights.

Those elected to office are "of the people," to work "for the people," and their job performance is judged "by the people." We don't need any more career politicians.[1][2]
