Lisa Spader Porter is a judge of the Twentieth Circuit Court in Florida. She was elected in 2012 and took office on January 8, 2013. Her current term expires in 2019.[1][2]

Education

Porter received her undergraduate degree from Florida State University and her J.D. from the Mississippi College School of Law. She was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1996.[3]

Career

Porter began her legal career as a staff attorney. She then spent seven years in private practice before becoming a general magistrate. She worked in that capacity for five years prior to her election to the Circuit Court.[4]

2012 election

Porter was elected on Aug. 14, 2012, defeating incumbent Judge Joseph A. Simpson with 71.1% of the vote.[2][5]
