Litesa E. Wallace
Litesa Wallace (Democratic Party) was a member of the Illinois House of Representatives, representing District 67. She assumed office on August 4, 2014. She left office on January 9, 2019.
Wallace (Democratic Party) ran for election to the U.S. House to represent Illinois' 17th Congressional District. She lost in the Democratic primary on June 28, 2022.
Biography
Litesa Wallace was born in Chicago, Illinois and lives in Rockford, Illinois. She earned a bachelor's degree from Western Illinois University, a master's degree in marriage and family counseling from Northern Illinois University in 2003, and a Ph.D. in educational psychology in 2013. Wallace's career experience includes working as a mental health counselor and a professor. She co-founded the Rockford Anti-Racism Network. Wallace served as chief of staff to former State Representative Charles E. Jefferson from 2011 to 2014.[1][2][3][4]

Jefferson ran unopposed in the Democratic primary, but resigned from his position on July 2, 2014. Litesa E. Wallace (D) filed to run on July 31, 2014, and was unchallenged in the general election.
