Livvy Floren
Livvy Floren (Republican Party) was a member of the Connecticut House of Representatives, representing District 149. Floren assumed office in 2001. Floren left office on January 6, 2021.
Floren (Republican Party) ran for re-election to the Connecticut House of Representatives to represent District 149. Floren won in the general election on November 6, 2018.
On April 7, 2020, Floren announced she would not seek re-election after representing Connecticut House District 149 for 20 years.[1]
Biography
Floren's professional experience includes working as a substitute teacher at Greenwich Country Day School. She worked as a public relations manager with Reddy Communications Incorporated from 1964-1986.
Floren is a member of the Adopt-A-Dog Capital Campaign Committee, Air Conservation Trust Board of Trustees, Audubon Society Capital Campaign Committee, Boys and Girls State Commission (co-chair), Greenwich Community Fund, Greenwich Country Day School Board (president), Bridges School Advisory Board, Community Centers Advisory Board, Greenwich Point Conservancy, and Stamford Watershed Association.[2]

2014
Elections for the Connecticut House of Representatives consisted of a primary election on August 12, 2014, and a general election on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 10, 2014. Marc Abrams was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while incumbent Livvy R. Floren was unopposed in the Republican primary. Abrams withdrew from the election on October 10, 2014.[4] Floren ran unchallenged in the general election.[5][6]

Floren ran in the 2012 election for Connecticut House of Representatives District 149. Floren ran unopposed in the Republican primary on August 14, 2012. She defeated John Blankley (D) in the general election on November 6, 2012.[7][8][9]
2010
Floren ran for re-election to the 149th District seat in 2010. Floren defeated Howard Richman (D) in the November 2 general election.

2008
On November 4, 2008, Floren won re-election to the Connecticut House of Representatives from Connecticut's 149th District. Floren ran unopposed in the general election, and she received 7,232 votes.[10] Floren raised $9,057 for her campaign.[11]
