In 2013, my family and I relocated to Monte Sereno f where I soon became involved with the community, serving on the newly formed Better Streets Commission, and later being elected to the City Council.

As a Better Streets Commissioner, I worked to create a program to identify on an annual basis, streets requiring major repair, with the goal of bringing all streets up to excellent condition. This has and will continue to result in significant street maintenance and taxpayer savings for Monte Sereno. As a City Council Member, I have worked hard to, and succeeded in, improving services city residents, employing best practices throughout the organization and providing greater transparency. During my term as Mayor, council successfully negotiated a contract with staff to everyone’s satisfaction that will benefit the city in the long term. As Mayor during the pandemic, I worked with the City Manager to ensure Monte Sereno continued to run smoothly with no interruption of services to residents.

I am an outdoor enthusiast and especially enjoy skiing, SUP, running and hiking. I am dedicated to serving the wonderful residents of District 28 and hope to have the privilege of representing you as your Assembly Member!
  • Time to restore common sense, accountability and cooperation to Sacramento
  • We must prioritize the safety of law abiding residents an and victims over criminals
  • Every child deserves a good educcation at the school of the parents' choosing, regardless of their circumstances
I am passionate about education, public safety, mental health and fiscal accountability. Our schools are failing our most vulnerable students, and a good education is key to breaking the cycle of poverty and opens doors for life. Providing school choice and reforming our public system will help our children succeed.

Government's basic role is to provide public safety, and due to recent reforms, we are failing to do so, prison reform should not come at the expense of law abiding residents.

Mental health issues are reaching crisis levels and need to be addressed, especially for our struggling youth. There is an egregious lack of accountability in Sacramento, as evidenced by $20 billion lost to EDD fraud.

We need real fiscal accountability in Sacramento, and our policies must provide mechanisms to monitor their success. Taxpayers deserve to know the impacts of their hard earned dollars.
I am known for and dedicated to working well with others to find real solutions. I strive to find common ground with others, I am a good listener, I seek to understand different perspectives, and I respect and value the opinions of others even though they may not be my own. I truly care for for my consituents , and hold myself accountable , and am diligent.
I worked in advertising as a traffic coordinator, a job that required multi-tasking, managerial and diplomatic skills. As a traffic coordinator I was responsible for making sure copywriters, artists and producers adhered to timelines, got the requisite approvals from executives and clients, and ultimately oversaw the distribution of material, both print and broadcast. This position honed my ability to understand how to engage and motivate others for a mutual cause. I worked for almost three years in this role before starting my family.
Baby shark - my granddaughter is obsessed with it!
California's greatest challenges over the next decade are to balance environmental goals with the needs of residents.
The only benefit of a unicameral state legislature is its economical, however the drawbacks outweigh this. Legislation may be hastily passed, it can lead to a dictatorial state, and is susceptible to party influence. We are actually suffering the consequences of a supermajority in California right now, and while we are bicameral, the supermajority behaves like a unicameral system - hasty policies with no benefit of healthy debate, authoritaranism, lack of transparency and unequal representation. It is important that we restore balance to Sacramento, and restore diversity of opinion. The best and most successful policies are forged from a variety of perspectives, democracy depends on this.
It is very beneficial to build relationships with other legislators. For the sake of good policy, it is important to take the time to appreciate and understand the viewpoints of others, to find that common ground we all have. Building relationships built on mutual respect will help move the policy process forward.
I do believe compromise is necessary for policymaking in order to move things forward. The current binary nature of our government hurts our ability to get anything meaningful done for our consituents. Compromise is an important tool in making sure all parties can be a part of the solution.
