I have served one term on the Davis School District Board of Education. On the board I have demonstrated leadership, accessibility to patrons and advocacy for students. I am committed to preserving and improving successful public schools in our neighborhoods. I come from a family with a strong legacy of education and service. I grew up in Bountiful and am a graduate of BHS and BYU. After living in several states, my husband Russ and I chose to raise our family in Davis County where our four boys have attended excellent public schools. Our family enjoys outdoor adventures together exploring Utah. I have worked in a DSD school and volunteered in the schools and community for years. These relationships and experience and perspective as a parent help me solve problems and engage effectively with a variety of stakeholders. I believe the board is responsible for building a bright future by developing capable, connected and confident learners in our district.
  • I am committed to student achievement, opportunity and equity.
  • I seek education solutions that are collaborative and innovative.
  • I make decisions about taxpayer resources from a position of responsibility and integrity.
Graduation rates, test scores, participation in AP/CE/CTE programs, mental health support and teacher compensation have all improved during my first term. The work must continue in effective implementation of personalized learning with appropriate use of technology, attracting & retaining educators in Davis county and building stakeholder partnerships. I have the education experience & community involvement to represent you on the school board and the leadership skills to adapt to the challenging circumstances we face at this time.
