I am currently the Mayor Pro Tem of City Council-this means i have received the most votes in the previous election. Every election i have participated in for City Council, I have received the most votes out of all the candidates. I am very humbled and grateful to have this honor. I have lived in Sterling Heights for 33 years, all in my current home. I fell in love with this city way back then, and felt a duty to make sure all voices were represented well. I believe that our safety is paramount to a great life in Sterling Heights, and i will always support our Police, Fire and DPW departments to the fullest. This is why we are the Safest Large City in Michigan.

I know many are struggling financially, and continue to strive for the lowest possible taxes on them. I believe we should always keep our budget lean and need to revisit every department each year. I promise to continue to look for cuts, and make sure the residents are able vote on proposals instead of initiating them myself. I have provided my personal number as my contact for all residents, so that I can be accessible to all. I work for the residents, and am a proud public servant.

Personally, I am married to Judge Steve Sierawski 41-A Chief Judge, a retired Major and Desert Storm USAF Veteran, We have 4 sons, Patrick(Rebecca)-Assistant Prosecutor, Anthony(Shani)-Major in USMC, Stephen Jr-Business Manager, Nicholas-3rd yr Law Student.
  • Fully Fund and support Public Safety
  • Look for ways to cut unnecessary spending.
  • Transparency, availability and empowerment of residents-call me I will do all I can to assist you.
We represent the residents. All of the residents- not special interests. We need to make sure that all decisions and policies are at the will of the people, and reflect their needs. We must continue to be open to all ideas and beliefs.
Local government is truly what affects people most-what is happening to them in their daily lives. This makes it the most crucial role in public service. As a public servant, we mustlook at what is beneficial to the whole.
I look up to many; personally, I look to Mother Teresa, she went into the worst social conditions to take care of the poorest of the poor. I also
To be the voice of the people. Not one group, one belief. It is imperative that a personal agenda never hoisted on the residents.
That I have served my people well. Politically as a Council Woman, and professionally as a Nurse.
I was a waitress and worked as one through high school and college.
I do believe that it is important to have been involved and live more than 5 years in a community before anyone runs for office. Otherwise, how do they even know what they need to do?
Government is for the people. We must be transparent, especially in mattes of finances. All documents regarding those finances must be available to all.
