Liza Collins

Liza Collins is a former at-large representative on the Holmen Board of Education in Wisconsin. She was first elected to the board on April 2, 2013 and resigned in 2019. Her seat was filled by appointment by Anita Jagodzinski.[1]
Collins sought another term in the primary election on February 16, 2016.[2] She received the most votes in the primary, which allowed her to advance to the general election on April 5, 2015.[3] She successfully won another term on the board in the general election.[4]
Biography
Collins has worked as a social worker since June 1998. Her experience includes working for La Crosse County Human Services. Collins earned a bachelor's degree in social work from Winona State University and a master's degree in social work from the University of Wisconsin at Madison.[5][6]

Two of the seven seats on the Board of Education were up for at-large general election on April 5, 2016. A primary election was held on February 16, 2016.[7] Incumbent Liza Collins faced four challengers—Richard Heiden, Lisa Kosin, Thomas Lyons, and Rebecca Rieber—in the primary election. Collins, Heiden, Lyons, and Rieber received the most votes, which allowed them to advance to general election on April 5, 2016.[2][3] Collins and Rieber won the general election.[4]

Funding
Collins filed an exemption statement detailing that she would not spend or receive more than $1,000 toward her campaign. Because of this, she did not have to file additional campaign finance reports for this election.[8]
