|- Voting rights are fundamental to an active and fair democracy. They should be protected and cherished.
- Honesty and integrity are essential characteristics of all great leaders. I will always operate with this in mind and hold others accountable.
- As stated in the United States Declaration of Independence, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal[.]” Indeed, all people are created equal regardless of their race, sex, gender, sexual orientation, or religion. I celebrate this ideal while recognizing that there are many inequalities that need to be remedied.
Building a Stronger Economy: Our economy, well-being, and power hinge on the health of our manufacturing sector. Michigan must revitalize its plants for the good of our workers, for the good of our economy, and for the strength of our national security. I support a comprehensive economic plan designed to revitalize and protect our domestic manufacturing and agricultural industries, while supporting small businesses and private enterprise.
