I am an attorney, dedicated public servant, and alumnus of both Michigan State University College of Law and Eastern Michigan University. Growing up on a small family farm and participating in 4-H, I developed a strong work ethic, an appreciation for community, and an understanding of core American values. While studying Criminology at Eastern Michigan University, I originally planned a career in law enforcement. However, I decided to pursue further education and obtained a law degree to advance the lives of others through impact advocacy, which is now manifesting itself in a run for the 77th House District seat. I have dedicated my professional and personal life to advocating for and helping the underserved. As such, I understand acutely what Michigan needs and am eager to advocate for the 77th, a district that has been forgotten by the political elites. Win or lose, I hope that my campaign for state representative will facilitate positive change by bringing attention to the needs of Ingham, Eaton, and Clinton County.
  • Voting rights are fundamental to an active and fair democracy. They should be protected and cherished.
  • Honesty and integrity are essential characteristics of all great leaders. I will always operate with this in mind and hold others accountable.
  • As stated in the United States Declaration of Independence, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal[.]” Indeed, all people are created equal regardless of their race, sex, gender, sexual orientation, or religion. I celebrate this ideal while recognizing that there are many inequalities that need to be remedied.
Protecting Voting Rights: Voting is the bedrock of our democracy and should be cherished and protected. Through voting, we assert our beliefs and chart the State’s political course. As such, I oppose legislation designed to infringe on this basic right and instead support measures designed to ensure that every vote counts and that all eligible voters are able to make their voices heard.

Building a Stronger Economy: Our economy, well-being, and power hinge on the health of our manufacturing sector. Michigan must revitalize its plants for the good of our workers, for the good of our economy, and for the strength of our national security. I support a comprehensive economic plan designed to revitalize and protect our domestic manufacturing and agricultural industries, while supporting small businesses and private enterprise.

Protecting the Environment: Rural Michiganders understand the importance of environmental conservation. Likewise, I understand that to Michigan’s farmers, land, air, and water are more than just vacation spots or scenic beauty. They are resources essential to their businesses and, as such, require our protection. Doing so will strengthen our economy by providing our farmers with the resources that they need, while protecting the State for future generations.
I have extensive experience advocating for the underserved. My experience as an advocate and attorney will allow me to be a strong and passionate voice in the legislature.
Candidates are elected to represent the needs and desires of all constituents regardless of their political affiliation. As such, if elected, I will listen to and advocate for all of my constituents (e.g. Democrats, Republicans, and Independents).
My first job was working on the family farm. I worked on the farm through middle school and high school. It helped me develop a strong work ethic, which I carry with me to this day.
Agriculture because of my farming background and Judiciary because of my legal experience.
No, emergency powers should be wielded by the executive branch.
Yes, in today’s America, the political divide is as wide as it has ever been. Legislatures are filled with ideologues, entrenched in their thinking and unwilling to cross the political aisle. The solution is to elect more candidates who are able and willing to negotiate in good faith with other elected officials – regardless of their political affiliation.
