Lona Lane
Lona Lane is a former member of the Chicago City Council in the state of Illinois, representing Ward 18 from 2006 to 2015. She was appointed to the council to serve a partial term on December 13, 2006, by former Mayor Richard Daley, following the resignation of Thomas W. Murphy. She won election to a full term on April 17, 2007.[1]

2015
The city of Chicago, Illinois, held elections for city council on February 24, 2015. A runoff election will take place on April 7, 2015. The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was November 24, 2014.[2] In the general election for Ward 18, incumbent Lona Lane and challenger Derrick G. Curtis advanced past challengers Michael A. Davis, Chuks Onyezia, Consandra Harris and Brandon Loggins. Curtis defeated Lane in the runoff election on April 7, 2015.[3] Howard Lindsey and Shaakira Ali were removed from the ballot in January 2015.[4][5]
