This measure sought to replace the current levy with one set at a rate of $.21 per $100 of assessed property value for a period of five years in order to further pay for current expenses in the city.[2]

Text of measure

The question on the ballot:

A replacement of a tax for the benefit of the City of London for the purpose of CURRENT EXPENSES at a rate not exceeding two and one-tenth (2.1) mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to twenty-one cents ($0.21) for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for five (5) years, commencing in 2012, first due in calendar year 2013.[3]
