|Southern California attorney Long“David”Liu has been an outspoken critic of those who would discriminate against minorities in our community. David has been a frequent commentator on television talk shows and local media on pressing social issues. He is often interviewed by the NewYork Times, LA Times, Bloom-berg BusinessWeek, Fox News,CNN and Associated Press. He also produces a widely followed podcast on political and social issues important to residents and taxpayers of California.
After years of using the judicial system to protect the rights of individuals, David has decided to expand his activism by running for the California State Assembly in the 49th District. The district is made up of the cities of Monterey Park, San Gabriel, Alhambra, South Pasadena, Arcadia, Temple City, Mantebello, San Marino, South El Monte, El Monte and Rosemead. California needs bold leadership to overcome our homelessness, rampant crime, fiscal recklessness, high taxes, failing education system and highest-in-the-nation gas prices. The current leadership has failed our residents and failed to solve the problems.- No Discrimination
ACA7 is a new California Assembly Constitutional Amendment that intends to circumvent California's constitutional guarantee of equal treatment (Proposition 209). Despite the increasing majority of California voters, rejected racial preferences in public education at state ballot boxes, radical lawmakers in California persist in their efforts to legalize state-sponsored racial discrimination through ACA7. ACA7 has already passed the Assembly floor voting in 2023, and it's going to be voted on by the Senate Rules Committee in 2024.
As a father, I value the importance of education. We must ensure every student receives fair education regardless of their races. We fight for equal educational rights and say No to ACA7 ! - No Indoctrination The indoctrination policies like AB957 in California leads teenagers to transgender without proper maturity, resulting in lifelong regrets. AB957 focuses on amending the judicial criteria used to determine custodial rights in family court proceedings. Specifically, it proposes to include parental affirmation of their child's chosen gender as an additional factor considered in custody decisions. This provision would be misused and lead to allegations of child abuse if parents do not affirm their child's gender identity. AB957 clearly took away parent’s right to guide their children to make the proper choice. We must say NO to AB957 !
- No Crime SB 94 authorizes individuals serving life imprisonment to petition for resentencing. These cases involve some of the most heinous murders in California, including torture killings, gang-related homicides, child murders, intentional hate crime murders, and more. As a lawyer and a long-time resident in California, I am committed to ensure community public safety. I strongly oppose SB94. This bill would reopen wounds for victims' families and endanger the safety of every California citizen. We need to strengthen legal supervision to allow every resident to live securely. Say NO to SB94!
Let’s talk about California, our home.
We have the highest gas taxes in the country.
We have the highest income taxes in the country.
We have the highest sales taxes in the country.
We have the highest vehicle registration fees in the nation.
Our electricity rates are more than double the national average.
Our education system ranks almost last in quality in the country.
