The Judicial Update

June 13, 2012

Kansas: Judge Ann L. Dixson has stepped down from her role as Municipal Court judge in Greensburg, Kansas after 15 years. Her resignation was effective on June 4.

Dixson still serves as a Magistrate Judge of the 16th Judicial District. She cited increasing responsibilities at this court as one reason for her departure. In a letter to the city council, she wrote, "I believe the City of Greensburg is also at a point in time when the Court may need to have a greater role as you move forward with property ordinance enforcement issues and city traffic enforcement...I feel that it is time to allow the City to employ someone in the Judge’s position that will be able to dedicate themselves to this important role."[1]
