Loo sworn-in to Maui Second Circuit Court
June 14, 2011
Hawaii: New Maui Second Circuit Court judge Rhonda I.L. Loo took the opportunity of her swearing-in ceremony to show her exuberance and playful mood. After receiving the oath, which made Loo the first female to serve on that court, she performed a hula dance and put on a sash which said, "Mrs. Circuit Court 2011."[1]
Loo was nominated to the court by Governor Neil Abercrombie in April and confirmed by the Hawaii Senate in May. With her term commencing this week, she will be up for reappointment in 2021.[2]
