This measure sought to renew and increase the current school levy to one set at a rate of .80 mills for a further five years in order to continue to pay for operational and maintenance costs in the district.[4]

Text of measure

The question on the ballot:

A renewal of 0.75 mill, an increase of 0.5 mill to constitute a tax for the benefit of the Lorain County Joint Vocational School District, Lorain, Erie and Huron Counties, Ohio for the purpose of current expenses at a rate not exceeding 1.25 mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.125 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for a period of (5) years, commencing in 2012, first due in calendar year 2013.[5][6]
