Lorenzo Larranaga
Lorenzo Larranaga was a Republican member of the New Mexico House of Representatives, representing District 27 from 1995 to 2018. He passed away October 9, 2018.[1]
Larranaga was a Republican candidate for District 27 of the New Mexico House of Representatives in 2018. He won the Republican primary but did not appear on the general election ballot because of his death.
Biography
Larranaga earned his B.S. in engineering from the University of New Mexico in 1970 and his M.S. in engineering from the University of New Mexico in 1979. His professional experience included owning Del Cuero Ranching. He served in the United States Army from 1961 to 1963.[2]

Elections for the New Mexico House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on June 3, 2014, and a general election took place on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 4, 2014. Incumbent Lorenzo Larranaga was unopposed in the Republican primary. William Pratt ran as an independent candidate. Larranaga defeated Pratt in the general election.[7][8]

Larranaga ran for re-election in 2012. He ran unopposed in the June 5, 2012, Republican primary. He defeated Ronald E. Krise (D) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[9][10]
2010
Larranaga won re-election to District 27 in 2010. He had no primary opposition and was unchallenged in the general election on November 2, 2010.[11]
