I am currently the Mayor of Oshkosh, Wisconsin. After raising two children as a single mom, I went back to school and earned bachelor's and master's degrees in urban planning from UW Oshkosh and UW Milwaukee. After getting my degrees, I became a neighborhood activist and co-founded the Middle Village Neighborhood Association. Friends and family urged me to run for office, and in 2016 I was elected to the Oshkosh Common Council. In 2018 I was appointed Deputy Mayor of the City, and then in 2019 I became the first woman directly elected Mayor by a vote of the people of Oshkosh. I was reelected in 2021. My reputation is for being responsible, reliable, and results oriented. I’ve taken pride in opening up our city’s citizen boards and commission to people who traditionally backed away from civic activity, and I led the effort to create a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee to help ensure that we hear all voices. I reside in Oshkosh with my husband and two cats.
  • I am a working mom and grandmother in touch with the needs of my district.
  • I have a reputation for governing in a way that is responsible, reliable, and results oriented.
  • I will fight for fair wages and taxes, affordable housing, a clean environment, expanded healthcare, and strong public schools.
My platform is called FACES of Oshkosh and includes all the areas I am passionate about:

  • FAIR WAGES and FAIR TAXES for all.
  • AFFORDABLE HOUSING
  • CLEAN ENVIRONMENT
  • EXPANDED HEALTHCARE (including reproductive health)
  • STRONG PUBLIC SCHOOLS

Scorecards

See also: State legislative scorecards and State legislative scorecards in Wisconsin

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
