Lorissa is a fearless, strong, and passionate Gen-Z advocate. As the child of working-class Jamaican immigrants, Lorissa had the opportunity to see firsthand the ups and downs of Florida. These experiences have shaped Lorissa into a public servant at heart. She is vigorously committed to providing a voice for the working class and amplifying the voices of underserved communities. As a Gen-Z candidate, Lorissa speaks to and connects with a wide range of generations. This includes our youth, and with this power, our district can take the lead in pushing for a better Florida and moving us in the "Wright" direction.
  • Education: As someone who has worked in education, Lorissa stands in support of our teachers and school personnel. She supports increasing educators' salaries and believes that our curriculum should place importance on financial literacy, basic life skills, trades, and accurate, non-agenda-driven history.
  • Economic Justice: Lorissa is an advocate for raising the minimum wage and is a supporter of a living wage. The fight for $15/hour is vital to her pro-working class platform.
  • Agriculture: Florida's natural resources and farmlands must be protected! Lorissa will work towards ensuring that our domestic food supply is maintained and that farmers have access to the necessary resources needed to continue feeding the residents of our great state.
