Ballot question

The ballot question was as follows:[1]

Shall an ordinance be adopted increasing the maximum Transient Occupancy (Hotel) Tax rate from 11% to 14% of rent paid by a hotel guest for transient occupancy of any hotel/lodging, generating approximately $700,000 annually for unrestricted general revenue purposes, until ended by voters?[2]
