Louie "Skeet" Des Champs was a judicial candidate for the 273rd District Court. Des Champs ran for election to the court in 2014.[1]

General: He was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 43.4 percent of the vote. He competed against Charles Mitchell. [1][2] 

2012

Des Champs ran for a seat on the 123rd District Court. He was defeated in the primary election by fellow Republican Charles Dickerson.

Des Champs received his undergraduate degree from University of Texas in Austin and his J.D. from South Texas College of Law.[3]

Career

Des Champs is in private practice with offices in two counties in Texas, Shelby and San Augustine. Previously he was Assistant Attorney General, Assistant District Attorney for Johnson, Nacogdoches, Ellis, and Angelina Counties, and County Attorney for Llano County. Prior to becoming an attorney he put himself through law school by working as a Harris County patrol deputy.[3]
