Commissioner Louie Minor is a battle‑tested Army veteran and lifelong Bell County resident who refuses to accept a county government that leaves working families behind. Raised in Belton, he learned early that real leadership means stepping up when others stay silent. After serving his country in Iraq, with discipline and honor, Louie came home determined to fight for the community that shaped him — and to challenge a system that too often ignores Precinct 4.

In 2022, voters made history by electing Louie as the first openly gay commissioner in Texas and first Latino to serve as Bell County Commissioner. He didn’t win by playing politics — he won by showing up, listening, and standing with the people who’ve been overlooked for far too long. Since taking office, Louie has pushed back against waste, secrecy, and the old‑guard mentality that treats public service like a private club. He fights for safer roads, fair investment, transparent budgeting, and a county government that works for everyone, not just the well‑connected.

Whether he’s knocking doors, answering calls late at night, or challenging decisions that don’t serve the public, Louie brings the same grit and determination he learned in the Army. He believes Bell County deserves leadership with courage — leadership that won’t back down when the stakes are high. Commissioner Minor is committed to building a county where every family has a fair shot, every neighborhood is respected, and every resident’s voice matters.
  • Bell County deserves leadership rooted in service, not self‑interest. I’m running for County Commissioner because too many families in Precinct 4 feel unheard, overlooked, or pushed aside by a system that should be working for them. My approach is simple: show up, listen, and act. I’ve spent years serving this community, and I know the challenges our neighborhoods face — from infrastructure that’s been ignored for decades to the lack of transparency in how decisions are made. I believe public office is a responsibility, not a reward. As Commissioner, I will be present in every corner of the precinct, meeting residents where they are, responding quickly, and making sure county government reflects the needs and values of the people it serves
  • Tax dollars should work for the people who earn them, not for insiders or political games. Bell County residents deserve a Commissioner who treats every dollar with respect and demands transparency at every step. I’m committed to responsible budgeting, open communication, and clear oversight of county operations. Too often, decisions are made behind closed doors, leaving residents in the dark about how their money is being spent. That ends with me. I will push for public reporting, community‑accessible information, and a budgeting process that prioritizes safety, infrastructure, and essential services. Accountability isn’t a slogan — it’s a promise to ensure county government is efficient, fair, and focused on real results.
  • Precinct 4 deserves fair access to resources, safe roads, strong infrastructure, and a seat at the table when county decisions are made. For too long, our communities have been treated as an afterthought, even though we are the heart of Bell County’s growth and diversity. I’m fighting for a county that invests in every neighborhood with equal urgency. That means improving transportation routes, expanding economic opportunities, strengthening emergency services, and ensuring families have the support they need to thrive. When every resident has a voice, our county becomes stronger, safer, and more prosperous. My mission is to build a Bell County where every family has a fair shot, every community is respected, and no one is left behind.
I’m passionate about policy that strengthens our community by investing in veterans, protecting public safety, and driving real economic growth. As an Army veteran, I know the challenges service members face when transitioning back into civilian life, and I believe county government must do more to support them with access to healthcare, job opportunities, and stable housing. I’m committed to policies that ensure our first responders have the resources they need to keep every neighborhood safe. I’m focused on economic development that brings good jobs, supports local businesses, and builds infrastructure that helps families and workers thrive. My goal is a county where service is honored, communities protected, and opportunity reach all.
