Louis Allen Sherman
Louis Allen Sherman was a circuit court judge for the 4th Judicial Circuit in Virginia.[1] The 4th Judicial Circuit is home to the Norfolk Circuit Court.[2] Sherman served as a judge on the court from 2009 until his retirement on December 31, 2012.[3] He served as a temporary judge through February 2013.[4]
Education
Sherman received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.[4]
Career
Before joining the 4th Judicial Circuit, Sherman served as a judge for the General District Court Bench from 1995 to 2009.[3] He has also previously worked as an attorney in private practice, served as a director for the Tidewater Legal Aid Society, and clerked for a federal judge in Baltimore, Maryland.[5]
